It’s been nutso around here, folks. Eric and I are both hitting the most hectic time of the year at our respective work places, which has also coincided with the repair of our computer. Yikes. Lucky for us, there’s only one more week of true insanity and then we’ll be winding down again. And the computer is back. Both good things.
Lucky for us, we were able to get away for about 24 hours this weekend. We invited 5 adults and their 3 babies (and 1 dog!) to visit Eric’s family’s lake house for a little get away. I enjoyed the time with these good friends and their families very, very much. A shout out to Mama V: I am so thankful she owns a spare pack-and-play (even though there are no babies in the family) and keeps plenty of household supplies (like paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies) stocked for the winter. Even with a blustery weekend and a satellite that wasn’t working, we were all easily able to stay entertained.
My favorite food item from the weekend was Stacy’s breakfast hot dish. Amazing. I wasn’t there while she was making it, but I’m pretty sure it went something like this. What a treat!
