Sewing Projects: September and October

A few days ago (yes, while it was still October) I finished my last sewing project: a lap quilt for my little one. Hooray!

Finished!

I feel pretty good about what I’ve done, but I’m disappointed in a few things. The finish is the worst part. I used a technique I read in one of my many books, and the binding kept slipping so I ended up hand sewing way more than I should have. And my hand sewing is… not so great. On the other hand, I love the way most of the fabrics came together, I love that most of the material is organic (and bought on major discount!), and I love that my little girl will have something I worked hard to make for her.

Red cups!

To celebrate? Starbucks has their red cups! There is something about those darn red cups. Everything tastes better out of them.
