After a whirlwind trip to see Mama and Papa K (new knees and all!) and the rest of the K Fam for Thanksgiving, we’re back in Milwaukee and getting into the holiday spirit. It will be our first Christmas at home this year as we await the arrival of our little one, and we’re hoping to make the most of it.
We got home with just enough time on Sunday evening to purchase and put up our first Christmas tree (real, of course). Between the tree, the stand, and the lights, it blew through any hopes of a decorating budget for this season, but I’m excited to try some homemade things to make the rest of the house cheery and bright! And let’s face it: our tree will make it totally worth it.
I’m looking forward to using the wreath frames I stowed away last year, to making a few of the K Fam traditional Christmas cookies, to taking lots of walks to ogle our neighbors’ lights, to watching The Grinch Who Stole Christmas a couple dozen times, and to preparing my home to celebrate many happy occasions over the coming weeks. I look forward to sharing the adventures of the season with you!
