Our little girl’s nursery is as finished as it is going to be, so I thought I’d share a couple of photos.
All that’s missing for now is a chair in the corner, which Mama and Papa are bringing after the little one makes her appearance. Otherwise, it’s all there! It’s more than all there, actually. She’s already got more clothes than I do, and I haven’t bought a stitch!
We realize we’ve been a little untraditional in our nursery decor. There’s no real “theme” to speak of, and it certainly isn’t a girly pink place to be. We chose things that will last us through a few children–if we are so blessed!–regardless of their gender, and things we thought wouldn’t look too dated in a few years. We were gifted a few big things, but we repurposed or crafted a lot of the others. Our priorities were that this room would be a fun place to sleep and play and learn all together, and this does the job perfectly for our family at this moment. I’m sure I’ll be paying for therapy in a few years from lack of pink, but it’s a place where I like to be and I figure that probably matters more right now.
So to answer the most frequently asked questions:
“Are you ready?”
Nope, not even a little.
“Is the nursery ready?”
