morning freedom

Eric, my beloved, amazing, wonderful husband, spent four full days home alone with Jane this week. What. A. Stud. Even more, he took advantage of the time with her to help her transition from two naps to one. A lot of kids her age have been taking one nap for months, but girl loves her some sleep, so she’s held on to that morning nap for a while. While she probably could have lasted another month or two, she was starting to show some signs of readiness and it was just time to get our mornings back.

So our mornings are back! Eric and Jane seemed to have had so much fun enjoying the sunshine and life and activity that a full morning can bring. And I see a whole world of brunches and park dates and (dare I even say it?) better church services opening up in front of us.
