It seems like whenever we stop looking, we receive just the greatest, most unexpected gifts. Both Eric’s and my parents are always sending us some surprise in the mail, and it always seems to get there on the worst day, when I just really need the pick-me-up. Someone is always coming through with some treat to share at work when my lunch is light. And, as a bright and shining example of this kind of thing, a neighbor offered us this amazing gift yesterday.
Don’t you just love it? Jane loves tiny chairs. I mean, really, who doesn’t love tiny chairs? Especially if you’re a tiny human.
The neighbors who passed it on to us have two boys who have probably outgrown it by now, but it’s so lovely to us. It’s sturdy and beautiful and my absolute favorite color. I am already imagining the art projects and snacks and displays and tea parties that will happen on it. It reminds me that even in the midst of the tragedy and sadness, we do live in a world that is quite good.
