Eric did something amazing the other day: he put our dozen and a half reusable grocery bags into sets of five and hung them from hangers in our study closet. It is such a simple thing, but it’s just perfect: five is about right for a trip to the store, and the closet looks like human beings have been caring for it again. We each keep one or two in our cars for random trips, and these can just stay in the car. Amazing, right?
The little gesture in the midst of the chaos that is our first floor organizational situation has inspired me to do a major closet overhaul on our three large first floor closets. I began the project yesterday, I expect it to take nap time and evening time for the next day or two. I’ll tell you more when I get it straightened out!
